Evergreen Park Illinois Culture

As some of you know, City Councilman Bob Fioretti (2nd District) announced last week that Evergreen Park was born, raised and raised in his ward.

Evergreen Park is located at 41 - 719933 (87 - 702499) and is a residential suburb in the city of Chicago's South Side, north of the Chicago River. The suburb is surrounded by the cities of Chicago and is home to a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, churches, schools, parks and other amenities.

Evergreen Park is bordered by the city of Chicago to the north, east and south, the community of Chicago Ashburn to the north, Beverly and Mount Greenwood to the south and Beverly to the east. There is a small part of Beverly, located north of it in Chicago's Ash Burners community, as well as a few shops in the area.

Stratford Hotel welcomes about 2.5 million visitors a year due to its location in the heart of the city and close to Shakespeare Park. South Kensington is also very attractive to tourists, with a variety of restaurants, shops and other interesting attractions. In 2012, AT & T and Warner Bros. teamed up to create a new theater, the Evergreen Park Theatre Company, at the corner of South Kedzie Avenue and South Michigan Street.

That year, the Little Company of Mary Hospital opened, and the next year, the Western Avenue tram reached Evergreen Park. The main business of the commune was dominated by schools and shops that were located around the intersection. By the end of the 20th century, it had grown to more than 1,000 companies with a variety of restaurants, shops, hotels and other businesses.

Over time, the needs of the Chicago community did not change, nor did the need for Chicago's community. Both Veterans Day and Memorial Day have special ceremonies honoring the veterans who chose Evergreen Cemetery as their final resting place. In the early 1990s, a veteran's cannon was added, an upright monument that allows the natural beauty to never be disturbed. This decommissioned World War II cannon stands in the middle of our Veterans of Honor Garden as a reminder of what the military has done to protect and serve our country.

The location and layout of the park are downtown, so please take W. 87th Street, turn left off S. of W, follow St to IL-50 and turn left into the USA on W. 87th Street and turn right onto I-80.

Although Evergreen Park itself does not have an airport, it is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, just blocks from Chicago International Airport and the Illinois River.

The village covers an area of about four square miles and is bordered by Chicago International Airport, the Illinois River, Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. It is operated by the Evergreen Park Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit corporation under the auspices of the Cook County Board of Supervisors of Public Works. Located on the west side of Chicago, just south of Interstate 70, it is a public park with a mix of residential and commercial properties, parks and recreational facilities.

The population of Evergreen Park peaked at almost 26,000 and dropped to 20,821 in 2000, 88 percent white, reaching a new high of 24,737 in 2010. At the 2010 census, about 3,200 people of all ages, races and ethnicities lived in the village, according to the census.

The mall opened in 2010 with tenants including Whole Foods, Burlington and Petco after developers bought and demolished the former Evergreen Plaza Mall in 2015 before the foreclosure. Plaza in its new form - opened on 18 October 2018 and since then renamed Ever green Marketplace.
