You can never really truly find out about someone reading a few paragraphs on a website. You get to know them through other means and find out then whether it's going to work. In my mind, these self descriptions are all about being completely honest, so if someone sees the profile and likes it, they're not completely blindsided when they meet in person to find their expectations shattered. I'm always a fan of having no expectations, then you can never be disappointed.

I basically try to live my life as a 24/7 episode of MST3K. Even in the crappiest of situations there is a lighter side. This mentality works best when you are sarcastic and take nothing very seriously. It makes everything that much more fun.

Working downtown for now as a system and network administrator in the west loop. Basically I get paid to be a nerd. I like it. There are a lot of freedoms granted at the company, but there's only me and one other person maintaining web and email servers and infrastructure for over twenty clients. So when things are bad I wanna walk into traffic. Things are seldom that bad though.

So if you haven't guessed, I am a nerd. I'm a fan of playing RPG games. Anything that makes you feel like a real hero is the bee's knees. I'm also a god at Madden on the 360. My system is one of the few places the Bears are still good. I'm also a fan of dive bars, well, one in particular. I hate going to clubs that have music louder than a shuttle launch. I'm a huge fan of football, played for either years and am currently on my fifth year of coaching for a local 5th/6th grade team. I also bleed black and white. I'm not a Cubs hater though, only for six games a year.

What I'm really hoping to get out of this site is someone who has common interests. I've dated girls who were like minded, but never really shared similar interests. It makes conversation with someone a lot more stimulating when you can talk to that person about a book you've read, movie you saw, or game you're playing and they are genuinely listening. It would also be nice to hang out with someone who, on occasion, wouldn't think staying in and playing games all night is a wasted night. Pish posh I say! Depending on the game, it's a great way to learn new curse words and it's only a waste if you don't level.

I'm also a smoker, which can be a deal breaker for most people. In fact, when people who don't smoke tell me to stop smoking, it makes me want to smoke more. So non-smokers are bad for my health and should stay away unless it truly does not bother you. Or if you quit smoking, but like being around me because I smell of smoke. That is sick and I will not be made into some kind of sexy prop for you to fulfill your smoking fantasies!!!

i'm 22 years old and live on the southwest edge of chicago, in the mount greenwood/beverly area. that neighborhood is known for its blue collar, working class mentality. although i respect it for that (and it's a nice area), that isn't necessarily indicative of what i'm like. i grew up in the 'ashburn' neighborhood, slightly north of where i am now.

My name is Kate. I am a biology major. I am also working towards a dog training certificate, and have a phlebotomy certification. I know they have nothing to do with one another. Dogs is current job/hobby. bio is future much better paying job. I have been showing dogs since I was 10. I absolutely love horses. I had an Arabian named Ally. I just recently lost her to old age. =( I really want another horse but money is tight so I'll wait. I really want a draft, They're my favorite. I have a guinea pig his name is Tybalt, he's the love of my life and thinks he's a dog. I play bass guitar. I have a 4 and 5 string. I love it, it's relaxing and a very good way to work out feelings. I love art. I was originally an anthropology major. I'm obsessed with Mesopotamia. I have 5 tattoo's and 5 piercings, but none of them show except my ears. I like to have tattoo's as personal reminders of my life, but I also like to look elegant at times. I could wear a backless short classy dress and only the heart on my ankle would show. Good luck figuring out where they all are lol. I love long skirts, pearls, heels, short skirts, jeans, band shirts, anything tye dye. I love shopping, sushi, and driving just to listen to the radio. I currently do not have a car. I can thank the wonderful state of Illinois for somehow letting people have the opportunity to drive without insurance and smash the fuck out of what was a dodge neon. I am a down to earth kind of girl. I work alot and don't usually have time to actually go out and meet people. Some of my interests include going for walks, photography, reading, going to concerts, cooking, going to zoos and museums, and tattoos, especially Sailor Jerry style. I have four already and plan to get more. I am a huge pro wrestling fan and I love going to wrestling events although I'm the type of person you'd typically find at a wrestling show.

Hiiiii I'm Shannon. I live in Oak Lawn currently but in April I will be moving back to the Northside where I belong because the suburb are boooooring :) I am definately a city girl.. I love the chaos and love being able to walk to places I wanna go, be near the lake, meet new people and just find random things to do around the city.

I am a hairstylist...and I Loooove what I do... Making people feel and look great is the best feeling. I pretty much live and breathe hair.. sometimes it gets a bit annoying but overall I love it.

I have a new outlook on my life... I've been thru so much in my life and I felt like I use to dwell to much on the past, but now I take my knowledge of what i've been thru and use it to move forward. I know what I want from life, and i'm going for it all. I've always been a happy person, but now i'm even happier!

I love my friends and family, i'm incredibly fortunate to have the people I have in my life... and I will never put them on the backburner. I want to find someone to share my life with that will accept me for me and just have the same type of fun personality as me... I am very responsible and my responsibilities always come first but I definately know when to have a good time.

I'm a pretty simple girl and can be shy at times. I like to think i'm caring and will help others. I'm pretty laid back and willing to try new things. Honesty is important. Someone who is genuine, no games. I am looking for someone who can love me for who I am and will treat me with the respect I deserve. He must be able to make me laugh.

I wouldn't even know how to describe myself. I think outside of the box. I like to look at things through many perspectives. I think of myself as self sufficient. Very independent. I like reading, and I love to learn things, text book wise or just anything interesting. I believe psychology is fascinating. I love music, and it defines a part of who I am. It's very hard to write about myself because I don't think I translate into words very well. You kind of have to get to know me, before you realize who I am.

What I can say for now is, I live like a modern day hippie. I love nature. You cannot exist without the universe. The universe cannot exist without you. I have an edge to me, with a certain classiness. Tasteful, but still with a wild untameable side. I'm inspired and motivated by Tim Burton films, industrial and alternative music, and literature.

i love life no matter what happens...if my life were a show people would love it haha. i am goofy, outgoing, happy, i might not be perfect but who is>???? umm i love sports, shopping!!!!, hanging out, parties, going to the city just to walk around!! and anything fun. im a good girl! so dont expect sex on the first few dates...sorry im old fashioned in that area. im looking for a fun, outgoing, chill guy who is motivated and holds a good conversation cuz i dont wanna seem like im talking to a wall. get what im saying?? ilook at personality before looks cuz im not perfect so why should i expect you to be! i dont care if u got 6-pack abs and huge biceps and look like paul walker, if your not fun or cant hold a interesting conversation i dont want anything to do with you.

I have lived in Chicago nearly all my life. I have one child, an adorable little boy that I love and cherish and would do anything for him. I enjoy doing many things and am pretty laid back enough to go with the flow. I enjoy sports, going to the movies, and playing pool. Recently, I enjoy bike riding on the near by bike paths or going downtown and riding along the beach or even through the city. I play basketball, Softball, and football with friends, I've studied martial arts since I was 5 and am now getting back into that. Don't let the pictures scare you, I have lost nearly 35 pds since those were taken,and more is expected. LOL I was a real fat ass, but have been more active and dropping it quickly. I know, I need to get some recent pics up. Will do shortly.

I enjoy hanging out, going to catch a movie, and going to parties when I can. Bars and clubs aren't my thing unless I have someone to go with and dance with. It just gets boring sitting there by myself. :( but if I have someone to go with, I enjoy it immensely. I also love walking, jogging, running, hiking through the woods, camping, going to baseball games. I am a cubs fan at heart but I will go to a sox game and cheer them on as long as they aren't playing my cubbies. ;)I am a die hard Bears fan, no matter how much they lose. If you're a packers fan, I can guarantee you that you won't hear the end of it from me. LOL I love going downtown, to museums, the zoo or just strolling through Millennium or Grant park.

I am very new to the Chicago area from Toronto, Canada and miss the fresh air very much so :P Perhaps this was not the best time of the year to come here, but I don't mind the snow. My ethnicity is Persian, yes like the prissy fluffy cats and expensive rugs... love it.

I am an easy going guy who is excited and comfortable with who I am and where I am going in life. Essentially, I enjoy just about anything life has to offer. Sit back and enjoy it; yet, get the work done when it needs to get done!

I live in Oak Lawn, work in Orland Park and spend a lot of time in the City. I am an avid runner and just did my first marathon last October with many more to come. I like hanging with good friends, working out and meeting new people. I also love working with computers.
